Dr. Chorng-Ping Chang is Director of Strategic External Research in the office of CTO, Applied Materials. Prior to joining Applied Materials in 2004, Dr. Chang was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, New Jersey, where he had done extensive R&D on advanced plasma sources, processing technology, CMOS integration and novel device architecture. He received his Ph.D. degree from University of California at Berkeley. He has authored or co-authored over 100 conference and journal papers. Dr. Chang is a senior member of IEEE and was an editor of IEEE Electron Device Letters 2000 - 2012.
